Pam paints on average 5 hours a day and she admits that it is her life!

"To capture the essence of a person has always been my goal. My technique has always been self-taught, a lifetime of tips and experimentation, a never ending struggle to achieve the feel I have always been looking for. While I painted originally in oils, in recent years I have specialised in watercolour, my style diverting from the accepted norms, often using thick media, equally thick paper, and little water, compiling an image in layers to create vibrancy."

"My painting gives me a spiritual lift into a quiet place where I can recuperate. I love painting the beauty of the eyes, portraits are my favourite subject but I paint anything and everything! Ideally I like to see the person I am painting, but if the photographs are good of the eyes I will paint not just a painting but YOUR child, pet and loved ones."

Pam has held her own exhibitions in the Gardens Gallery in Montpelier, Cheltenham every year since 2008. She is a member of several clubs, including; The Fosseway Artists, the Cheltenham Art Society and Swindon Village Art Society.
