Above are a few examples of Martin's lively paintings which he likes to paint 'en plaine aire' with ink and watercolour. He is now trying to paint pure water colours, without any preliminary drawing, striving to capture the freshest and most immediate impressions on paper.
Martin is a member of Winchcombe Art Club and does life drawing in Chipping Campden. He has held several private shows and exhibited with Robin Reckitt and Ronald Green in Winchcombe. Martin has talked and demonstrated on drawing in perspective. Has paintings are mainly of architectural subjects in the Cotswolds and on holiday in Italy. His pictures are on view at Mercia Fine Arts in Winchcombe.
